AAC INC. IS SPONSORING THE FTC S.W.A.T. #16502 ROBOTICS TEAM

Vienna, VA – April 14, 2022 – AAC Inc. is sponsoring the FTC S.W.A.T. #16502 robotics team, the sole representative of Virginia in the First Tech Competition World Championship. The First Tech Competition is a global competition designed for teaching students to think like engineers while building robotics to solve specific challenges and enrich their STEM education. This season’s challenge was named FREIGHT FRENZY℠ in which the robots needed to pick up freight from warehouses and deliver it to the team’s shipping hub while overcoming obstacles. The FTC S.W.A.T. #16502 robotics team secured their World Championship competition slot by winning 2nd place for the Inspire Award at the FTC Chesapeake Regional Championship. The Inspire Award is presented to the team considered to be a strong contender in many award categories in the opinion of the judges and has demonstrated Gracious Professionalism® throughout the entire competition. FIRST defines Gracious Professionalism® as “Doing your best work while treating others with respect and kindness – It’s what makes FIRST, first.”
