AAC Successfully Passes ISO 20000 First Surveillance Audit
Aug 08, 2009Since becoming ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 registered in 2008, AAC Inc., a leading provider of Information Technology solutions, went through their first surveillance audit which was performed by BSI, Inc. AAC’s Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system was assessed as remaining effective and recommended for continued registration.
AAC performs regular internal audits to ensure the requirements of ISO 20000 standards are consistently being followed. The standard requires the implementation of an integrated process approach that also delivers managed services to meet the business and customer requirements.
“The success of the external audit is due to our IT department’s commitment to adhere to the ITIL framework while maintaining focus on the customer’s needs” said AAC’s Vice President of Information Systems Ugur Koser. “ISO 20000 has helped us raise the internal profile of our IT department, but has also made AAC more competitive externally.”
AAC contracted with BSI, Inc. to perform all of the independent ISO 20000 registration audits. AAC’s next surveillance audit will take place in August 2010.
